Ana Gabriel (born on December 10, 1955 as María Guadalupe Araújo Young in Guamúchil, Sinaloa) is a Mexican singer and composer. She was born into a Mexican family of mixed Spanish-Chinese ancestry. She first sang on the stage when she was 6 years old, when she sang Regalo A Dios by José Alfredo Jiménez. She moved to Tijuana, Baja California, where she studied accountancy. When she was 22 years old she recorded her first song entitled Compréndeme in 1977.
