Peter Wyngarde was best known for playing the part of Jason King in the ITV crime drama 'Department S', a role which would later provide the inspiration for, in part, Austin Powers. Aproached by several record companies, he eventually reached an agreement with RCA, on the understanding of full artistic license. The album that was produced was not exactly what they had in mind, and was recalled and/or banned a week later. Building a cult following, it has since been re-released on another label, under the originally intended title, "When Sex Leers Its Inquisitive Head."
